Sadly, that does seem to fit me pretty well. *sigh*
I spent a good three hours walking with Cam today. He climbed into his swim shorts and talked me into taking him out. I talked him into putting on a shirt, shoes, socks and pants before going out. He hasn't been to the pool since August, but he remembered the way. He was a bit disappointed that the pool was closed(he didn't believe me telling him, he had to see it with his own eyes) Then we inquired to when the pool would open and prices for the pool. They were nice and opened the room with the plastic tube play room for him. Then he wandered around and found a little boy who was older than him to play with. The boy was pushy and wanted everything to be his way. Cam was fine with this and ignored him when it was appropriate(like telling him to climb up the slide when it is posted not to do so) but I got pissed that the older kid had a ball and refused to share with Cam unless Cam could snatch it away. It took a long while before Cam got upset at this, and I took the ball and did the same trick to the kid until he got violent by hitting my arm hard enough to shake my glasses off. At this point I realized the kid had no intenion of playing fair and I got Cameron ready to go. The kid got all pissy saying that Cam was a big cry baby, but he was the one being a jerk.
Then we had Jack in the Box for lunch, well I did. Cam only eats the fries. And we had a really good shake with Andre's mints.
A trip through the grocery store finished the day and we were only caught briefly in the rain shower. Cam asked to be carried a few times, but I only let him get his way twice, and he wanted down soon. I had my first experience of taking him to the ladies room in a public place. It wasn't so bad as I was expecting. I don't even know how I knew he needed to go potty, but I figured it out from body language and I took him and he did his thing. I think the travel thing won't be as bad as I think.
I am exhausted now, after all the walking. I forced Cam to bed after bad behavior at the neighboors downstairs and he will hopefully take a real nap. My tooth is hurting and I am waiting for pain killers to kick in.
